To our European Fuel and Car Wash team we are looking for an experienced senior category manager that enjoys and thrives on initiating and executing strategy, who will be instrumental in helping Circle K reach business goals across our Europe countries. We work closely together with functions and market teams to develop even better car wash offerings – adapted to the markets and to serve our customers in the best possible way. We also ensure constant improvements to the customer journey with input from the market, based on the vast amount of customer and market insight we have.​

The European Category team is represented in 8 countries with 9 Business Units. We work closely with category managers in all European countries to ensure cooperation, market insight and optimal product and price strategies. In our team you will be an important contributor in developing strategies for product, price, positioning, branding, customer journey, as well as responsible for coordinating capex, as well as opex.

We have ambitious goals for the car wash product, and you will review and update our product portfolio strategy as well as take the important role of driving prioritized projects. Having a close dialogue with all European business units is key. ​

Circle K are looking for a strategic and hands-on senior category manager that can deliver across Europe on our ambitious goals and is excellent at fact-based storytelling to our executive team as well as BU leaders. The Senior Manager Car Wash Europe will be a key contributor in driving and realizing the EBIT target set for the next 5 years; doubling from today`s USD 50 million to USD 100 million. He/she will be the responsible Network leader and go-to person for 9 category managers across the BU`s, and facilitate, drive, and ensure success within the strategic agenda, change management and satisfactory progress.

Main responsibilities will be:

• Have a close dialogue with all European business units​

• Drive the 5-year strategic ambition from strategy to execution  

• Key contact point towards suppliers 

• Support and develop European car wash network in the BUs​

• Coordinate yearly business planning process for carwash and pro-actively support BUs with development of local category plans.

• Maintain and develop dashboards (PBI) and commercial insights​

• Actively influence and support the strategic agenda with necessary change management across the organization.

Main objectives will be:

• Secure successful implementation of “double again” strategy together with BUs

• Develop and implement CVP for Circle K car wash to meet increased competition 

• Develop new, innovative approaches to complex challenges and/or market surroundings​

• Develop and implement category concepts to create customer value and remove pain points​

• Key contributor in realizing the EBIT target; doubling from today`s USD 50 million to 100 within the next 5 years

• Network leader for 9 category managers drive strategic agenda, change management and secure progress.

The candidate should have:

• 7 + years’ experience from strategic and operational category management – from strategic sourcing to market offerings, preferably also with some business development exposure​

• Proven commercial success and track record from one or more categories

• Experience from being the category expert and providing key input in complex tenders and management​

• Strong business understanding and structured commercial mindset with the ability to work holistically and systematically across cultures and countries in Europe​

• Be positive and enthusiastic, good at listening, deciding and getting things done​

• Excellent analytical mindset able to analyze customer and market data and identify commercial opportunities​

• The ability to thrive with a hectic and result-oriented work situation​

• Team player mentality and ability to work in a matrix structure to find solutions  and ensure implementation.​
