About the role
Working directly with the Director of Sales, the Group Business Director, UK will be responsible for leading and setting the team cadence and strategy, optimising and improving internal sales processes and leading Acast's external relationships with senior stakeholders at media agencies. Ensuring Acast is absolutely front of mind with all our key clients and ensuring that the business continues to be recognised as the number one podcast buying marketplace in the UK (and globally).
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior-level, media sales leader and team manager. This role is an essential revenue generating position and you will be responsible for revenue targets across a defined portfolio of media agencies, who in turn are managed by your team of Account Directors, Account Managers, Executives and Planners. A key success metric for this role will be the effective strategy management and leadership of this high-performing sales hub to hit your revenue targets.

How you will contribute

Revenue growth: Achieve and exceed targets for your Group.
Strategy & Business Planning: In partnership with the MD, SVP & UK Director of Sales, you will be responsible for delivering the quarterly sales strategies, with visible and actionable business plans that will enable your team to successfully achieve key targets. This also includes the setting of individual quarterly sales targets for all sellers within your group.
Team leadership and management: Ensuring that your team is supported entirely, motivated and inspired to deliver targets and results, creating a positive, caring and high-performing team culture that epitomises Acast's values.
Proactive commercial ideation: Working with the MD & DOS you will be looking to innovate and lead Acast's commercial position in market, delivering best in class work that creates tangible results for the UK and wider Advertiser division both internally and externally.
Senior commercial ambassador: Work to ensure that Acast continues to be regarded as the leading podcast marketplace in the world. You will be a senior expert in the podcasting space, regularly updating and informing your agencies and clients on all the latest news across Sales, Content & Ad Tech. Your thought leadership will be highly regarded amongst internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-team collaboration: You will be a key senior business partner across Content, Acast Programmatic and Acast Creative, ensuring that teams work effectively together, and that Acast's branded content and programmatic offerings are a key component to sales pitches and solutions for agencies.
Lead client experience excellence: Ensure advertisers receive an amazing experience when working with Acast. You will ensure that your team follows all internal processes leading to a successful commercial delivery. You will also oversee process improvements and best practices, feeding back constructively to key stakeholders.
Creative problem solving and resolving challenges: At a time of rapid expansion, we often encounter new and unforeseen challenges in the commercial space which requires creative thinking and clear actions, often involving multiple stakeholders to deliver a solution. You will lead here, ensuring that effective and constructive results are delivered when challenges might arise.

The ideal skills for this role include:
• Previous experience in a sales leadership role with experience selling to media agencies
• A proven track record of leading high-performing teams to achieve exceptional sales results
• A new business sales 'hunter' mindset and tenacious in your approach to selling
• A strong background/industry knowledge of both audio and digital advertising is preferred
• You have incredible organisational skills and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• A passion for podcasts is a must!
