About the role
As an Engineering Manager at Acast you will be people manager for all engineers in your team and work closely with our product team as well as the tech leadership team to continuously deliver value and make sure that the members in your team are growing. The role is part time people manager and part time individual contributor and you will build and support a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and feedback as well as hands-on coding. You will drive execution by organizing team work, setting goals, and holding the team accountable alongside with the Product Managers.

It's important that you are curious and can adapt quickly and enjoy a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Our current team that is looking to hire an Engineering Manager is using Typescript, Node.js and Python. So we'd like to see that you're comfortable developing backend services in either of these languages. Regardless, it is a plus if you’re open and interested in learning and working with various technologies. We work with AWS so it’s good if you have experience in AWS or similar cloud platforms (Good with experience with at least some of the AWS big data offerings: EMR, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS, ECS, Fargate, etc.)
